It's only fair that I introduce myself and this blog. I'm Griffin and an avid horror movie watcher. And being an avid watcher, I've decided to unleashed my wisdom onto the world of reviewing. I've definitely thought to myself, 'Hey, I should just put myself out there and see what people think.' And so here I am. Out here for the world to critique and enjoy.
This idea mostly started with my recent collector phase involving Scream Factory, Arrow Video and Vestron Video releases that have popped up over the last few years. I own far too many of them and decided I need a creative outlet to enjoy them more than I would just watching them. So those releases are going to be my main focus. I plan on starting out slow, reviewing just a few movies a week. Mostly as a way to keep me from running out of material to review so quickly. And partially because I do have a busy schedule between work and classes.
The main reason I want to review these releases is the special features. Most of these movies are packed with said features, new and old. And ever since watching Terminator 2 with the Ultimate Mode enabled, I've been enthralled with the process behind the scenes. From scripting to shooting and even scoring movies. I will be reviewing both the movie itself, including the technical aspects and the bulk of the special features. And who knows, maybe you'll grow a new found enjoyment of a movie you would have never otherwise watched or you'll learn something new about your favorite horror movie.
That being said, I'll branch out here and there with reviews of my personal favorite movies and some of the classics. And I'll definitely take some time to look at any suggestions that stand out to me. So please, don't be afraid to engage me with comments and emails!
